Skoda has marked the launch of the Citigo model in the United Kingdom with a new PR strategy, named the Citihenge.

Even if the small Czech vehicle is already available in the United Kingdom for quite some time, the model is once again being placed into the spotlights, this time with the occasion of the Summer Solstice, on the 20th of June, and a piece of automotive art, named the Citihenge, positioned on the Southbank in London. The installation has been made out of 18 scrap cars which are standing at over five meters tall, made in tribute to the iconic structure, the Stonehenge, by a team of sculptors led by Tommy Gun.

“The Citihenge project has been the most amazing challenge. Stonehenge is a huge, iconic structure and the Citihenge replica is too. It is made entirely from old car parts, which taps into my own childhood growing up on a farm where I used to love building and creating things with pieces of discarded machinery”, said Tommy Gun.

As a quick reminder, the Skoda Citigo is available in three trim levels in the UK, the S, the SE and the Elegance, and the entry-level version is powered by the 1.0 liter three-cylinder engine, which is producing 54 HP, mated to a five-speed transmission. The cheapest Citigo in the UK costs 7,845 GBP.
